Session Description:  
The Covid-19 pandemic and corresponding economic impact have created a once-in-a-lifetime scenario wherein everyone in every industry is feeling the impact in some way or another. With the continued uncertainty around our health, our finances and our future, donors are battling a variety of emotions and anxiety leaving gift planners struggling to find the right messaging for the moment. Through Stelter’s experience working with nonprofits from all industries across the country, as well as data we’ve received from fundraisers like you, this presentation aims to provide you with clarity and ideas for paving a way forward.

In this presentation you will learn:

  • The complexity of emotions that donors are being faced with and what that means to your marketing
  • The subtle art of adjusting your planned giving messaging during the pandemic and economic downturn

Session Description: 
This session will address the fundamentals of gift planning such as noncash gifts, life income plans and beneficiary designations while sharing lessons learned during challenging times in our history.

Additional topics will include relationship building with our best donors, a new sense of urgency in the estate planning field, blended gifts and some marketing ideas effective today.

Felicia Davis, President and CEO of Chicago Foundation for Women, will explore how the power of collective giving brings about the power of community.
