Nuances of Planned Giving in Large Arts Organizations
This presentation offers an inside look at the unique nuances of planned giving in arts and cultural organizations. Drawing from personal experience and insights from peer organizations, the presentation explores donor motivations, identifying planned giving prospects, cultivation/stewardship strategies, and addressing common misconceptions about philanthropy in the arts. CFRE: Full participation in Nuances of Planned Giving in Large Arts Organizations is applicable for 1.25 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. 

Mike Biver, JD, Senior Director of Gift Planning, Lyric Opera of Chicago
Mike Biver is the Senior Director of Gift Planning at Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he has worked for over seven years. Prior to joining Lyric, Mike held a similar role at The Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota. In addition to his work in gift planning, Mike operates a regenerative farm in Woodstock and serves on the Board of the Community Foundation for McHenry County.

Jessica Noe, Director, Development and Planned Giving, Feeding America
Jessica Noe is an accomplished development and planned giving professional with over 21 years of experience in project management and fundraising for nonprofits. She has dedicated almost 16 years to Feeding America, where she has significantly grown the planned giving program, achieving record-breaking revenue and expanding the legacy society by over 300%. Her expertise includes donor stewardship, major gifts, board relations, and charitable gift vehicles. A Northern Illinois University alumna, Jessica resides in the western suburbs, bringing passion and precision to her mission of ending hunger.
