    The Central Territory works with ten divisions of The Salvation Army, all in the Midwest.  The Territorial Director of Planned Giving plans, develops, and provides leadership and support for all phases of effective planned giving programs within these ten divisions.  Continually higher standards and best practices are implemented as this role works with over 30 planned giving professionals in the Midwest.

    This exceptional opportunity is available for the right person, who can serve as a planned giving technical expert for the major and planned giving staff, as well as work with the overall development strategy in the divisions.  This position assists in the hiring and training of planned giving staff and helps set standards and metrics for the territory.  The position plays a strategic role in setting goals and reporting systems, as well as business rules utilizing the fundraising database.

    High level organizational, team building, and communication skills are an important part of the talents we seek.  While looking for a person with 10+ years of experience in planned giving, we are also emphasizing the importance of fund-raising success, a deep knowledge of planned giving, and a proven ability to develop strategic plans for this area.
