    DEPARTMENT: Resource Development 

    REPORTS TO: Chief Development Officer  

    PAY GRADE: 11 

    SALARY RANGE$145,000- $150,000

    PRIMARY PURPOSE 

    The Associate Vice President, Corporate Relations is responsible for managing all aspects of corporate fundraising, including employee giving campaigns, corporate grants, and sponsorship. The AVP, Corporate Relations will drive revenue through innovation in employee giving, new partnership opportunities, and close collaboration with the CEO, Chief Development Officer, and the board of directors. 

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES  

    • Lead fundraising for overall corporate partner portfolio.
    • Lead innovation and positive change within the team and across the organization, inspiring a high level of commitment and performance.
    • Lead, guide and coach team of Corporate Relations Managers (4), Senior Director of Workplace Giving, Senior Manager of Workplace Engagement, and part-time seasonal Corporate Engagement Ambassadors. 
    • With team, create and implement comprehensive and tailored annual plans for corporate engagement, including event support, volunteer projects, and leadership engagement.
    • Analyze opportunities and develop plans to grow revenue; monitor progress to goals, update projections, and adjust strategy and tactics as needed.
    • Engage and partner with CEO and Chief Development Officer on key corporate strategies.
    • Engage volunteer leaders in all fundraising efforts, including the Campaign Cabinet, board members and regional champions. 
    • Manage the corporate grants program, including proposal development and reporting, recognition standards, and giving opportunities in partnership with the Community Impact and Strategic Initiatives teams.
    • Manage a portfolio of high-priority accounts, building cross-functional support teams for the identified corporate partners.  
    • Create an overall stewardship plan and processes to ensure corporate partners and individual donors within workplace giving programs are appropriately thanked and engaged throughout the year.
    • Establish culture of and processes for prospect development and outreach to new potential partners. 
    • Set team metrics and performance measures; ensure the team’s portfolio is actively managed and reported on through the CRM.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
    • 10+ years relevant nonprofit fundraising experience, including managing a development team and setting strategic priorities.
    • Strong knowledge of Chicago’s corporate community, regional giving trends, and fundraising best practices. 
    • Outstanding written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
    • Proficiency in CRM and database systems, including Raiser's Edge or comparable software
