Russell V. Kohr Award Accepting Nominations

08/30/2018 12:17 PM | Christine Teed (Administrator)

We are currently seeking nominations for the Russell V. Kohr Award. CCPG bestows this award each year to recognize and honor a respected leader in the planned giving field from the Chicago area. Awardees may live outside the Chicago area, but the award is made to people whose work and influence in the planned giving field were notable when they were in Chicago. The awardee is someone who is universally respected as a mentor to others and has been noted as an accomplished professional from whom others seek counsel and wisdom. The Kohr Award is named for Russell V. Kohr, the founder of the planned giving program at Ravinia Festival, who managed that successful program for two decades. Through his talents and skills, Russ made possible the creation of the Steans Institute for Young Artists at Ravinia.

The CCPG Awards & Nominating Committee reviews and recommends candidates for the award to be approved by the CCPG Board of Directors.

The Awards & Nominating Committee invites CCPG members to submit nominations for consideration by using this form. The 2018 Russell V. Kohr Award recipient will be announced at the November 13, 2018 CCPG Bi-Monthly Program.  Please direct any questions or completed forms to Holly Gibout, Chair, CCPG Awards Committee, at holly.gibout@gmail.com or (312) 375-5338.  The nomination deadline is Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
